The name Soléa Rooftop Bar and Restaurant is a nod to the spirit of Mediterranean food, often called “the cuisine of the sun.” Rooted in Latin (sol meaning sun, olea meaning olive), it reflects the warmth and abundance at the heart of the restaurant’s inspiration.

Soléa crowns the historic Bali Beach Hotel, a landmark built in 1966 before the island’s height restrictions came into play, making it the tallest building in Bali. From this rare vantage point, guests can enjoy the kind of panorama travelers search for when they type “restaurant with a view”: the sun rising over the ocean and, remarkably, setting on the distant western horizon.
